Juice is a beverage created by pressing or extracting the natural liquid present in fruits and vegetables. Additionally, it can be used to describe fluids that have been flavored with concentrate or other biological food sources, such meat or shellfish, like clam juice. Juice is frequently drunk as a beverage, or it is added to foods or other beverages, like smoothies, as an ingredient or flavour. Since pasteurization techniques made it possible to preserve juice without needing fermentation (which is used to make wine), juice has become a popular drinking option. The biggest consumers of fruit juice are New Zealand (almost a cup, or 8 ounces, daily) and Colombia (more than 34 cup daily). On average, intake of fruit juice rises.
